ABout Pastor Lance

Lance Hahn is a revolutionary Christian thinker. He is a self-proclaimed, “Agitating Peacemaker” and “Coffee Table Theologian” who will not stop until America is saturated with a healthier version of Christianity.

He has been a Senior Pastor since 1993, leading the same congregation, Bridgeway Christian Church since 1997. He is an author (The Master's Mind and How to Live in Fear), speaker, adjunct professor, podcaster, and radio host. Currently, he is finishing his D. Min at Talbot Theological. He is married to his amazing wife Suzi, with two incredible daughters Jillian and Andie.

Outside of work, he is a movie buff and a collecting-nerd. He loves to collect trading cards, comic books, old vinyl records and other various 'treasures'. He enjoys learning and trying new things, the more unusual, the better.

Tuesday we celebrated my mother in law, Joyce Johnson and her graduation to be with the Lord. Her passing has been difficult but knowing how she is thriving with the Lord raises our spirits. Joyce was one of the good ones. Our world needs more Joyce’s not less: prayer warrior, positive & optimistic, servant-hearted, champion for children. To me she was just a sweetheart that made my life better. We miss you Joyce and my kiddos miss Grammy. Until we see you again, we love you.

“How Was ComicCon?” - Yep, I checked off a bucket list item this last week by going to San Diego ComicCon. 150,000 people going thru in 4 days. Packed. Disorienting. Fun. I got autographs from my favorite comic book artists like: Artgerm, Art Adams, Adi Granov, Stan Sakai, Jonboy Meyers. I bought a ton of exclusive comics too. Walked 9 miles a day and the rest was standing. Visual overload. It’s the best of TV, movies, video games, toys, tech, art, manga, all in one place. Didn’t want to wait the 6-7 hours to see the superstar panels with the likes of Ryan Reynolds, RDJ, Hemsworth, Mark Hamill, and a million others. Crazy! #SDCC #comiccon #sandiego

Tonight, we finished our last week of Faith & Culture: Christianity & American Politics. We have been working hard on this for a long time, and I am happy to see it come to fruition. I’m thankful for everyone who contributed to this four-week series. Just had an artist friend at church hand me a personally made, hand-crafted turtle from a Hawaiian coconut shell. To me it’s prophetic because when I get anxious my peaceful place is the beach and one of my favorite family vacations with my wife and girls was Hawaii. That makes this piece powerful and beautiful!

I got my chocolate bunny! This morning I came back to my desk and there was a little chocolate bunny waiting. Last Saturday night got together with 60 art lovers to talk about our love for creativity. Pastor Emeritus of Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church and lifelong student of art history led us passionately through the Renaissance works from Giotto forward. The focus was on God breathing through art and how the artists themselves expressed their perspective of God. Absolutely fascinating! Painting- ‘The Creation of Adam’ by Michelangelo

Just finished at a ‘Pray for Ukraine’ rally at Spring of Life Church in Orangevale. There were pastors, leaders, politicians, military representatives and prayer warriors. It was a beautiful show of solidarity as we lifted up our brothers and sisters during this dangerous and pivotal time.
